Vision is always a lightning rod for criticism. Many times, a vision with a lot of potential will be destroyed because of people criticizing the vision. Many people can’t take criticism well, so it shuts down the vision. Nehemiah was threatened multiple times on his vision for the wall being rebuilt in Jerusalem. Through Criticism, we must make sure to stay focused on the vision so it doesn’t die out. How do we do that?

Nehemiah got permission from King Artaxerxes to go back to Jerusalem. He had the vision of seeing the wall of Jerusalem rebuilt. He had the favor of the king, a plan, and resources to accomplish that plan. However, he had one more challenge to face in front of him. God told Nehemiah to ask every family in the city of Jerusalem to build the wall by taking responsibility for a little section of the wall that is nearby where they live. But, what if the people are not on board? What if he can't impart the vision?
