National accreditation through TRACS

TRACS

Elim Bible Institute and College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; email: info@tracs.org] having been awarded Accredited Status as a Category I institution in 2018, and Category II institution in 2020 by the TRACS Accreditation Commission. This status is effective for a period of up to five years (2018-2023). TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

New York State

EBIC was granted an absolute charter by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York to conduct programs leading to the Associate in Applied Science degree and the Bachelor of Science.  The one-year certificate program is also registered by the NYS Education Department and is part of the NYSED inventory of registered programs.

ECFA

The Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (ECFA) recognizes Elim Bible Institute and College as one of its charter members. ECFA accredits its members and holds them to high standards of accountability with respect to governance, financial management and stewardship/ fundraising practices. Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising and board governance. Members include Christian ministries, denominations, churches, educational institutions and other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations.

GI Bill

Elim Bible Institute & College is approved by the NYS Division of Veterans Affairs, Bureau of Veteran’s Education, for the training of veterans.

Federal Student Aid

The college has been granted eligibility by the United States Department of Education to participate in student financial assistance programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

NYS TAP

Elim Bible Institute & College is approved for the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Eligible New York residents, enrolled in the BS degree, AAS degree or Launch certificate program, may receive an annual TAP award.

NC-SARA

Elim Bible Institute and College has been approved by NYS to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
