The 3-STEP application process.
Complete the 3 steps outlined below to apply for admission to Elim. If you have any questions, contact our admissions counselors through the web chat, at: 585-582-8260, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
1. Complete an application.
To apply online, fill out our online application. We will create a special account for you in a program called “Populi” where you can begin the application process online without having to finish it right away. At any point, you can login and continue the application process.
2. Send transcript.
We will need your high school transcript (or H.S. equivalent). Official SAT and ACT scores are helpful but not required. If you don’t have an official high school or college transcript, you may submit one of the following to show proof of preliminary education in accordance with Section 3.47(a)(2)(ii) of the N.Y. State Rules of the Board of Regents:
- High School Equivalency Diploma (TASC)*
- A letter from your district Superintendent (homeschoolers)*
- Completion of 24 specific semester hours in a degree-granting
- A previously earned college-level degree*
- International applicants – contact us for your country’s specific requirements.

3. Apply for Financial Aid.
About 70% of Elim students received financial aid from the government, 48% of those received more than $5,000 in grant aid. Elim is committed to helping students attend Elim. We don’t want finances to be an obstacle. To that end, Elim also offers scholarships and campus employment to eligible applicants. In fact, 96% of Elim students received some type of financial aid in 2018.
Elim calculates institutional aid after students have applied for Federal and State aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We ask NY State residents to also complete the Tuition Assistance Program application (TAP.) We ask Canadian applicants from Ontario to apply for OSAP. The following tasks must be completed soon after acceptance. There is a $50 late fee if either of these tasks are completed after the designated deadline.
Pay $250 Reservation Deposit
The Reservation Deposit ensures we reserve space for you at the school. A $250 non-refundable Reservation Deposit is due by August 1 (or December 15 for Spring semester), and is applied toward your bill.
A deposit is not needed for acceptance to the school, but we do not reserve space for you until we receive the deposit. If you plan to enroll, make sure to pay your deposit by the deadline so you can avoid a $50 late fee.
Submit health form
Your acceptance to Elim is not contingent on your Health/Immunization Records arriving on time. However, we will need them on file before you begin school.
To avoid a $100 late fee, please provide your health records by August 1 (or December 15 for the Spring Semester). We may send you additional forms that should be returned ASAP.
