Matthew Slisher graduated from EBI&C in 1995 with a diploma in Bible and Missions. In 1998, Matt graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy; he is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Muslim Studies from Columbia International University. Matt has been active in Christian ministry since 1992, including leading student outreach ministries, together with his wife Stephanie leading a college ministry (BASIC) at the University of Rochester, as well as worship leading, youth ministry, Bible teaching and local church mission awareness. Matt and Stephanie, with their five children served as career missionaries with Elim Fellowship working among un-reached Muslim people in Central and East Asia from 2002 to 2018. Their involvement included English teaching, community development, campus ministry, serving on a Bible translation project, as well as business as mission (aka: “BAM”). Matt and Stephanie’s passion is to see Christ glorified among the un-reached and un-engaged people groups of the world — especially in the Muslim world. They have a passion to see more laborers mobilized, equipped, and launched into the harvest.
