Student Ministry

While classroom learning is important, it only makes up a portion of the training students need to succeed in leadership and ministry once they leave Elim. That’s why we place every student in real ministry settings every week, coupling experiential learning with academics.

How we work

All of our programs include extensive hands-on ministry, and each residential student participate with local partner ministries and organizations every week as part of a student ministry team. Commuting students and distance learners work with the Ministry Director to arrange their own weekly student ministry assignments.

Teams are assigned to serve with different churches and ministries in the area. Opportunities include serving in the local church (children’s ministry, youth ministry, worship teams, tech/media), as well as various causes including homeless ministry, youth outreach, ministry to internationals and refugees, college ministry, and evangelism.
