Bachelor of Science in Business Management

The purpose of the Business Management program is to prepare Christ-centered students who possess the knowledge and practical skills to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing marketplace. In this program, you will have the opportunity to develop your character, build a strong business foundation, and acquire critical thinking skills needed to lead and impact your communities through Christian organizations and secular businesses.

This program can be completed entirely through Distance Education, and many of the classes are also offered on campus.

Students majoring in Business Management will:

1. Understand and apply business principles from a Biblical worldview, learn to defend the Christian faith, and grow in spiritual formation.
2. Develop strong management and leadership skills.
3. Exhibit excellent oral and written business communication skills.
4. Take information apart, critically examine it, and create solutions for local and global problems in a collaborative setting.
5. Acquire knowledge about starting and managing nonprofit or for-profit organizations and designing strategic business plans.
6. Demonstrate an undergraduate level of comprehension in the fields of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics on par with bachelor of science levels and national norms.

Since our inception in 1924, Elim has required students to keep the Word of God as a central part of their instruction. We offer a variety of programs to equip you for your calling, but Christ remains at the center of all we do. As a business student, you will graduate with a degree in Business Management, but even more importantly, a deeper relationship with God, which will serve you wherever you go in your career and ministry.

Elim is more than an academic institution; we impart a heart for ministry and provide students with in-depth practical experience through Internships and Student Ministries.

Elim’s BS degrees are fully accredited and registered by the New York State Board of Regents. Graduates will be prepared to further their college career with a solid degree which will easily transfer into Christian college graduate programs. Students may transfer into a wide range of Master's programs (not just Theology) at other colleges with this degree.

Since Elim is an approved Title IV school, U.S. applicants have the opportunity to apply for federal and state aid. 100% of full-time students receive financial assistance from the government and/or from Elim. Since Elim’s costs are already very reasonably priced, many of our students are surprised when they receive their award notice and realize that they really can afford to pursue their degree at Elim.
